Alleppey is a commercial town and famous for backwaters of Vembanad lake, the largest fresh water lake in South India. The Nehru trophy boat race is held once in a year, which began in 1953 and conducted on the second Saturday of August. The cancellation depicts the Snake boat.
I received two types of Postmark. First one a larger seal used during Boat race. The second one for regular usage.
