Sayajirao Gaekwad III (Shrimant Gopalrao Gaekwad); (10 March 1863 – 6 February 1939), was the Maharaja of Baroda State from 1875 to 1939, and is notably remembered for reforming much of his state during his rule. Cancellation depicts Statue of Shivaji Rao Gaekwad at Baroda, which is placed in front of the main entrance of the sayaji park. Nr. Vadodara Rly. station. The statue was moulded in bronze by Mr. Francis a famous sculptor of England by raising funds from the public. The statue was unveiled by the Maharaja Holkar of Indore on 17th March, 1914.The cancellation has been introduced at Fateganj HO Vadodara on 16.01.1989.
